  • SPECIAL NOTICE

Multiple City residents have notified the Utility Billing Department in regards to receiving calls from a phone number that appears to be the Dumas Fire Department. Upon answering the call they were connected to an automated message that notified them on their "excellent credit history" and offered "0% interest on all of their current credit cards". As you all know, the City does not participate in any form of cold calling and this scam has the potential to manipulate residents into providing sensitive information. Please let the City Utility Billing department know if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for your time.
